Carsoe has won six out of seven new building contracts for processing equipment for shrimp trawlers during the last year with its overall market share in equipment supply for the sector rapidly on the increase.
The firm said it has beaten its own record by securing the new contracts, which include Carsoe's first ever complete fillet and round fish processing plant.
Mikkel Jacobsen, CEO, Carsoe, said it expects to achieve just as many order in the coming 12 months.
"I believe our increasing market share is the result of our efforts to come up with innovative solutions that works in real life at sea. We also keep a constant focus on giving our customers a second to none service both during the project phase, but also during operation.”
“Our reputation as a responsive and reliable supplier means we work with the same customers for decades,” he said.
All the contracts signed during the last 12 months have been with customer, that Carsoe and the former Carnitech have dealt with for the last 20 years or more.
By partnering with the Norwegian process automation company Steel Tech, Carsoe, together with its upstart in Seattle, USA, is able to supply all kinds of processing solutions and factories, along with the latest and most sought equipment for automatic freezing and palletising.
During the second quarter of 2017, Carsoe will expand its Aalborg workshop by an additional 3500 square metres, along with an extra 500 square metres for its administration team.
The extra space will cater for extra capacity and extra staff needed to keep up with the demand for processing equipment.
