An event not to be missed!
Delegates at the fish farm during the Offshore Mariculture Conference 2010
The 4th Offshore Mariculture Conference will be held in Izmir, Turkey on 17-19 October 2012 and is an event not to be missed by anyone involved in, or looking to be involved in, fish farming offshore.

The three largest fish farming companies in Turkey have signed up to attend along with other fish farming organisations from across the world. They will all come together to discuss the latest research on what to farm, to be updated on the latest technologies and research, to learn from the experiences of those already farming offshore and to network with peers from across the sector.
The Conference will be chaired by Neil Sims, co-Founder and co-CEO Kampachi Farms, and the programme will include the following invaluable presentations:
- Sustainable planning and development of cage farming and shellfish farming
- Development and integration of new species
- Feed for high energy cages
- Development and integration of: wind energy projects, open ocean culture of macroalgae
- Latest developments in cages and netting
- Turkish offshore aquaculture: planning, execution and success stories
Following two days of technical conference, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a visit to one of Turkey’s largest and most successful producers, Camli/Pinar, based in Izmir. The visit will incorporate a tour of a processing plant in Işıkkent, with a presentation on their processes and methods. Delegates will be able to discuss the presentation over a buffet lunch before travelling to the Çeşme hatchery. From here, delegates will be taken to view the offshore fish farming cages, where there will be opportunity to explore the cages in detail and to participate in a question and answer session with the farming managers.
Any delegates intending to participate, who have not already registered are advised to do so as soon as possible as places at the event, and in particular on the fish farm visit, are limited.
