Skaginn 3X confirms fifth SUB-CHILLING sale this year

Skaginn 3X Skaginn 3X celebrates the sale of its fifth SUB-CHILLING salmon system to Búlandstindur

Skaginn 3X has sold its fifth SUB-CHILLING system this year, with a package for salmon producer Búlandstindur.

The system yields up to 13t per hour, which enables companies to pack all their salmon at -1C throughout the year.

Elís Grétarsson, managing director of Búlandstindur, said that nothing else could be considered by salmon processing companies when choosing a cold treatment.

"We slaughter salmon for Austfjörður's fish farming and with SUB-CHILLING ensure the best possible quality of products, thus ensuring a good position on the possibility of slaughtering too for other parties in the future.

“We also achieve economies of transport as well as the quality and durability of the product,” he said.

The deal, made at the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition, follows Skaginn 3X’s recently secured contract with Íslandsbleikja in Grindavík.

Sales manager, Ragnar A. Guðmundsson, expects a significant increase in sales of the SUB-CHILLING system in coming months.

He emphasised: "SUB-CHILLING has been more stamped into the market this year, and I am convinced that more contracts will be signed before the end of the year.”
