Dybvad Stål Industri (DSI) has launched its Horizontal Stand-alone plate freezer.
The company says that the only thing necessary to create a complete freezing package is a condensing unit. All a contractor needs to do is connect to the dry suction line, the liquid line, supply the electrical power and finally supply a ‘run’ signal that tells the plate freezer that the refrigeration system is running and ready.
The Horizontal Stand-alone plate freezer is ideal for very small plate freezer installations where it is desirable to keep it simple.
A central separator or pumps are not needed, as they are included in the Horizontal Stand-alone unit. The plate freezer is very suitable for expansion of existing systems that have reached the limit of the existing pump separator, as the suction line from the Horizontal Stand-alone plate freezer is dry, so does not require any additional separation.
The freezer features all the necessary equipment for the safe and efficient operation of the plate freezer. A liquid separator has been fitted to the freezer frame to secure a dry and energy saving suction line. The separator has been dimensioned to secure a complete separation with the given freezer’s capacity.
A pump circulates R717 refrigerant from the separator through the plates and back to the separator in the same way as a traditional multi-freezer system.
All valves necessary for operation are mounted on the freezer and have been correctly dimensioned for the capacity of the given freezer.
