Premium Scottish smoked salmon products and other artisan foods from Loch Fyne, part of the ‘Mey Selections’ range inspired by HRH Prince Charles, are also expected to be rolled out to other countries in the near future.

“HRH Prince Charles’ initiative to create the Mey Selections brand to support food producers in the North Highlands of Scotland has really helped us demonstrate the high quality of Scottish produce,” said Cameron Brown, managing director of Loch Fyne.

“Buyers in international markets want to know that they’re getting the best smoked salmon, and what better mark of quality than a royal association.”

Shortbread, biscuits, cakes and cheeses from artisan producers in the area around the Castle of Mey in Caithness are also on sale in Texas, the second largest state in America, as part of the same range.

Loch Fyne’s Mey Fillet, Kiln Roasted and Traditional Oak Smoked salmon is already available in ten American ‘Central Market’ gourmet grocery stores throughout the state, along with biscuits, cake and cheese from the ‘Mey Selections’ range.

Loch Fyne Gravadlax is now available alongside Mey Selections salmon in 13 Globus stores in Switzerland.

HRH The Prince Charles, known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, originally launched Mey Selections to foster closer connections between Scottish farmers, fine food producers and customers.

The Mey Selections range is managed and presented by Loch Fyne Oysters.
