Seafish, the public body that supports the £10bn UK seafood industry, is hosting a series of workshops for the seafood industry at the Seafood Expo Global in Brussels from 7 to 9 May.

With Brexit on the horizon and changing consumer tastes, there will be a focus on Seafish Market Insight which looks at UK retail and foodservice trends.
An overview of the UK seafood market will be given by Michaela Archer, head of insight at Seafish, covering seafood performance, consumer purchase trends and ways Seafish can help businesses.
This is an opportunity for those who supply to UK retail and food service to get information which can help businesses with their market growth,” said Ms Archer.
“Food service and retail are important and we have data to show how seafood has been performing and how consumers’ behaviour patterns change. Our factsheets help keep a watching eye on what has been going on,” she continued.
Brexit presentations will cover the border process, preparing business for the EU exit and an introduction to the trade and tariff tool.
The UK Market Insights talk will take place on the Tuesday at 2.30pm and is open to those who supply seafood to the UK market.
