Fish Waste for Profit is pleased to announce that Margildi will both sponsor and speak at the Icelandic Fisheries Conference 2017 on 14 September.

Margildi is a start-up company that has developed new refining method to produce fish oil, omega-3 for human consumption. They currently focus on fish oil processed from pelagic fish originated out of the clear waters of the Arctic North-Atlantic sea such as capelin, herring and mackerel.

Capable of fully refining said fish oils with a very high stearin content, Margildi have developed a new patent pending quick winterization process for this purpose and have recently announced that they had been awarded iTQi's "The Superior Taste Award 2017" with a golden star.

CEO, Founder & Owner of Margildi, Snorri Hreggvidsson, will be taking part in session 1 entitled ‘Bottom to middle – large scale processing of fish by-products’. His presentation will cover the creation of food grade fish oils from pelagic fish processing by-products.
