A new Call for Papers has been released for the 4th Edition of the Fish Waste for Profit Conference on 16 -17 September 2021, taking place alongside the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition in Kópavogur, Iceland.

At previous events, the conference has covered developments in this fast-moving industry; keeping delegates up to date with technological innovation, research and development, investment, and has hosted speakers representing some of the industry’s most promising products made from discarded by-products.

The theme for the 2021 event is: Transforming the Blue Economy to 100% Green. Looking at how the industry is working towards full utilisation of fish by-products and taking steps forward in the use of green technology.

Our planned session topics for 2021 will be:

1. Striving towards 100% utilisation for different species
2. Technology Innovation
3. Kick starting the industry - Investment Opportunities
4. Pioneering By-product Utilisation (leather, chitin, collagen, pharmaceuticals, medicines, fish oils and fish meal)
We therefore now invite submissions from companies, organisations and individuals to put forward papers/presentations in these categories. Abstract papers or presentations using case and 'real life' studies are the most engaging for our audience and therefore will be given precedence.

Abstracts of approx. 250 words with a biography of the speaker and headshot photo should be emailed to mcharlesbailey@mercatormedia.com by 15th April 2021 at the latest.
