In Norway’s Council of State on 16 October 2023, the country’s king made several ministerial changes in the government. Among these, Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Bjørnar Selnes Skjæran, was honourably discharged from his office.
Skjæran has been replaced in the position by Cecilie Myrseth.
The change also saw Kristina Sigurdsdottir Hansen and Vidar Ulriksen honourably discharged as state secretaries to Skjæran, but reappointed as state secretaries to Myrseth.
Anette Kristine Davidsen resigned as political adviser to Skjæran with Nicklas Simonsen was appointed as political adviser to Myrseth.
The changes became effective at 1pm on 16 October.
Norway’s current government is a coalition between the Labour Party and the Centre Party.
