Bergen, Norway-headquartered salmon farming group Grieg Seafood ASA harvested approximately 15,350 tonnes of fish in the first-quarter of this year, which was 1,550 tonnes less than in the corresponding period of 2022, according to the group’s latest trading update.

Grieg’s Norwegian farm sites of Rogaland and Finnmark harvested 7,500 tonnes and 7,850 tonnes respectively, compared with 9,645 tonnes and 5,175 tonnes a year previously.
Its British Columbia (BC) operations, meanwhile, harvested no fish in the quarter, according to plan.
For Rogaland and Finnmark the farming costs were NOK 58.40 and NOK 62.80 per kg respectively.
