GISIS – part of the Nutreco Group - has become Ecuador’s first feed mill to attain Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification.
The shrimp and tilapia feed mill is located in Durán, Ecuador, and is also South and Central America’s third feed mill, outside of Chile, to become certified.
Shrimp and tilapia companies sourcing from BAP-certified hatcheries, farms and processing plants can now source feed from the GISIS facility and qualify to offer four-star BAP product.
