The organisers of the 4th European Tuna Conference have announced the first speakers.

The conference will take place at the Sheraton Hotel in Brussels, Belgium on 22 April 2013 and will bring together experts who will be addressing topics around the theme ‘The Economics of Tuna’.

The speakers announced so far include:

  • Carmen Camara Rica, Faculty of Chemical Science, University of Madrid
  • Hussain Hassan, Maldivian Minister of State for Fisheries and Agriculture and Chairman of IPNLF
  • Pierre Commere, Secretary General, EUROTHON
  • Laurent Dagorn, Senior Scientist, IRD
  • Susan Jackson, President, ISSF
  • Nicolas Guichoux, Regional Director for Europe, MSC
  • Maurice Brownjohn, Commercial Director, PNAO

More speakers will be announced within the next two weeks.
