The global seafood distributor, importer and processor becomes the latest Member of the International Pole & Line Foundation. Sea Delight Group replaces its member company Sea Delight Europe that has been part of IPNLF’s fast-growing membership network since 2017.

Sea Delight Group has become the latest Member of the International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF), the charity that is committed to developing and supporting responsible one-by-one tuna fisheries and supply chains.
Since 1995 Sea Delight Group member companies have specialised in supplying key North American markets with high-quality frozen and fresh seafood products and since 2009 have committed to support responsible fishing practices.
“Having IPNLF Membership underlines Sea Delight’s commitment to safeguarding the world’s one-by-one tuna fisheries. One of our long-term sustainability aims is to ensure that these traditional fisheries, along with the fishers and communities connected to them, receive the support necessary to safeguard their futures for many generations to come,” said Stephen Fisher, Sustainability Director at Sea Delight.
To help improve the sustainability of seafood resources, and to underpin its own sustainable seafood policy, Sea Delight has strong working relationships and partnerships with international NGOs. Additionally, it works with its suppliers to help them partner with these and other groups and to be part of the web-based traceability programme Trace Register.
Sea Delight supports a number of tuna fishery improvement projects (FIPs) globally, including the one-by-one tuna FIP in Indonesia and the handline and longline FIP in Vietnam.
“We are extremely pleased that the Sea Delight Group has strengthened its support for one-by-one tuna fisheries by joining our Member network,” commented Jeremy Crawford, Southeast Asia Director at IPNLF.
“The company is a major advocate for strengthening fisheries management and for establishing robust policies aimed at supporting the sustainability and viability of source fisheries in its supply chains. The IPNLF team looks forward to working even closer with Sea Delight to progress the one-by-one tuna agenda.”
