Mikra is the result of a winning combination

The result of a merger between the Micro food processing and Klaki hi-tech robotics companies, Mikra won the IceFish award for its sea urchin saw, automating what had been a challenging manual process.

“We were a little bit surprised, but we were really happy about it and our high-tech guys were really pleased,” said Gunnar Bragason, Mikra’s Safety & Quality Specialist.

“We won also an award two years ago, and I think Micro won one four years ago, so we’re on a winning streak,” he laughed.

Meanwhile the main benefit of IceFish for Mikra continues to deliver, added Bragason. “We are a new brand, so for us it’s just really important to get the word out and for all our regular, and also hopefully new clients, to see where we stand and just get it around that Mikra is offering these kinds of solutions.”
