What she didn’t expect was blank stares. “I asked them what fish they eat, and they could only name cod, haddock, salmon, canned tuna – and, with a bit of prompting, prawns,” she recalled. “Ten years ago, children were far more knowledgeable. Now, many have never even seen a whole fish.”
