Hearing from the next generation of seafood innovators.

Session four of the 100% Fish for Profit conference will focus on fresh thinking, entrepreneurial energy, and the next generation of seafood innovation. The conference takes place at IceFish on 23 and 24 September.
One of the speakers, Benedek Regoczi, is founder of Havdis AS, a Norwegian biotechnology startup that transforms seafood by-products into high-value cosmetics and medical products. The company was inspired by the Iceland Ocean Cluster´s 100% Fish program. Bendek is the Innovation Project Manager for the Cluster.
He is passionate about the sustainable use of ocean resources bridging the gap between research and industry in the blue economy.
Benedek has an MSc in Coastal and Marine Management and a BSc in International Management. He is originally from Hungary and was partly raised in the Turks and Caicos Islands giving him a unique multicultural perspective. He has a diverse background, as a founder of a drone photography company in Sweden, as a marine ecology research officer in Iceland.
At the Iceland Ocean Cluster, he has been working on several international projects, including the Horizon Europe project, Blue Bio Clusters, and Nordic Innovation project Nordic Nexus Network, all anchored to the flagship program of the Iceland Ocean Cluster, 100% Fish.
