Managing Director of NP Innovation will introduce the company’s new Flo Panels.

Session 4 of the “Aquaculture – Driving Sustainable Growth” conference, being held on 22 September at IceFish, will explore “Investable infrastructure for resilient aquaculture”.
Magnus Thor Asgeirsson, who leads commercial strategy and operations at NP Innovation, will explain how the Flo Panels are designed to support more stable and efficient land‑based aquaculture systems.
Drawing on his background in fish welfare, water quality, and operational performance, Magnus will share the practical challenges that inspired the development of Flo Panels and how they fit into the broader evolution of water‑treatment technology.
Magnus Thor Asgeirsson says, “I’m really looking forward to IceFish as it’s a great opportunity to share practical ideas, connect with people across the industry, and introduce new solutions like our new Flo Panels that are built around the challenges producers face every day.”
BioGuard FLO represents the next step in NP Innovation’s filtration platform, designed to deliver higher efficiency, lower operating costs, and improved environmental performance. The technology addresses key industry challenges such as rising water usage, energy consumption, and the need for more stable filtration under variable loads.
Early field testing begins in April at Nordlax, providing initial performance indicators ahead of a broader customer rollout in the autumn. While full data insights and the digital dashboard will mature later, the early results will be presented at IceFish.
BioGuard FLO is part of a long‑term innovation roadmap that includes the upcoming patent‑pending glueless BioGuard PRO and FLO panels—offering chemical‑resistant, cross‑compatible solutions for wellboats and demanding applications. Together, these developments position NP Innovation to lead the next generation of filtration technology with measurable gains in water savings, energy efficiency, and operational reliability
