Sara Erickson is a lifelong Alaskan, entrepreneur, and founder of AlaSkins. Raised commercial fishing with her family in Bristol Bay and Cook Inlet, she developed an early passion for making the most of every resource.

Over the past 20 years, Sara has built two seafood companies: Wild Alaskan Salmon Company and AlaSkins (founded in 2017). Through AlaSkins, she transforms wild Alaskan fish skins—once considered waste—into premium, sustainable pet treats while creating value for Alaska’s seafood industry and community. She has also developed Arctic Omega Cream, a skincare product made from pure halibut oil, further extending her 100% Fish approach beyond pet treats.

Sara’s commitment to sustainability inspired Blue Salmon, an educational game that challenges players to balance economic success with environmental stewardship. Creative, driven, and passionate about Alaska’s blue economy, she continues to champion innovation, sustainability, and the responsible use of the state’s natural resources.
