Pernille Bak Post is an Industrial PhD Student at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), in collaboration with Royal Greenland A/S.Her PhD focuses on improving the utilization of side streams from the production of peeled Northern shrimp (Pandalus borealis), with particular emphasis on recovering valuable nutrients from shrimp shells for use in aquaculture feed through a greener and more sustainable processing method.Her interest in the field of side streams and circular economy developed through a broader focus on sustainable fisheries and the recognition that truly sustainable use of marine resources also requires making the best possible use of everything harvested from the ocean.She holds a B.Eng. in Fisheries Technology and an M.Sc. in Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture from DTU Aqua.
