Founder & CEO - Loal Ocean
Laura Anderson comes from a multigenerational commercial fishing family and is the founder of Local Ocean Seafoods, a dock-to-table restaurant and seafood market in Newport, Oregon, now proudly employee-owned. She later developed Yaquina Lab, a seafood hub providing critical infrastructure for regional food producers, and co-founded the Central Coast Food Web.
Working with the Oregon Ocean Cluster and other partners, Laura is advancing the 100% Fish movement by transforming seafood processing side streams into valuable products and new revenue opportunities that support resilient fishing businesses and living-wage jobs.
Laura serves on the boards of Local Ocean Seafoods, the Central Coast Food Web, the Oregon Ocean Science Trust, The Nature Conservancy in Oregon, and Oregon Public Broadcasting.
