Tuna freezer vessel ‘LJUBICA’ was launched at Zamakona Yards shipyard in Bilbao, Spain, on 16 June.
The
vessel belongs to Ecuadoran ship owner Pesquera Miriam S.A.The
contract was awarded to Zamakona in April 2013 and is worth $35m.The
vessel is 90m long, has a 1,999m3fish capacity in its tanks, and a speed of 18 knots.
The
LJUBICAwill fish for tuna in the Pacific Ocean and its delivery is planned for autumn 2014.
