Tucal has recently launched its new vertical plate freezer, which includes an automatic unloading system.
The company says that this freezer is a totally new design which, thanks to its simplicity and economy, makes automation possible for every user of this type of freezer.
The simplicity of the design, which includes longitudinal plates, means a big advantage says Tucal. This is because the number of components is much lower than in a traditional vertical plate freezer, therefore reducing costs. The cost of this model is only slightly more than the traditional model with manual unloading.
The new freezer features a pneumatic system for its movements, including plate opening and collection of blocks.
The unloading system comes as part of the freezer itself, consisting of an overhead crane which collects the frozen blocks and takes them to the unloading area. Here they must be collected by a worker (manually) or driven through a conveyor belt, depending on customer preferences. The overhead crane is driven electrically, with speed control to avoid any sudden movements at start-up/stop. The unloading process is carried out totally automatically, with the option of simply modifying times, distances, sequences, etc. The process can also be stopped at any time, restarting again at the same point when the order is given.
All the electrical and pneumatic equipment is connected in the factory, and is protected against humidity or knocks. The electrical panel, which is at the freezer, is the only part that needs connecting.
The design has also been developed for easy cleaning, with removable bottoms and dividers, and areas in contact with the product are straight and without areas where the product could accumulate.
