The company's TN200 slicer (used in association with the batching module DDV400) represents 78% of industrial salmon slicing in France.
From weight recognition of the fillet, the TN200 uses a variation of angle and cutting thickness in order to obtain the required weight of slices with 200 cycles per minute.
In order to optimise the percentage of slices obtained in required weight, a system of 3D recognition for salmon fillets was developed.
Each fillet is weighed and scanned (using a digital camera and a laser transmitter), depending on the required weight of slices.
As each slice is designed in 3D, the knowledge of their length and width allows the DDV400 module to associate slices not only according to their weight, but also according to their shape.
Use of the system does not require any particular ability from the operator and, depending on running conditions, up to 95% of slices can be obtained in required weight.
