According to Marel, the ScanFeeder is the first automatic product feeder equipment on the market that uses drum vacuum technology. The ScanFeeder 7700 picks up semi-soft fish products one at a time from any disorderly flow and then delivers them in an ideal orderly flow at speeds that easily keep up with downstream food processing equipment. And the ScanFeeder 7700 does all of this automatically, doing away with the need for manual intervention in the flow of fish to the weighing and batching equipment - which means big savings that keep on increasing with every single shift.
The infeed technology has proven to be very effective in applications like plaice, redfish, sea bream, sea brass and trout.
