Turkish shipyard Tersan has delivered the 69.9m stern freezer trawler ‘Havstrand’ to Norwegian fishing company Strand Havfiske.

Havstrand is the second of the five trawlers under construction at Tersan Shipyard for different Norwegian ship owners. The first trawler Havbryn was delivered in February this year to Strand Fiskelsrap.

Our increased efficiency in production is almost leading a part of the shipyard into a conveyor belt, producing fishing vessels. Features of the new trawler include excellent trawling manoeuvrability; fuel saving with floating frequency philosophy; selective catalyst reduction system on the exhaust line, achieving IMO Tier III; advanced fish processing plant and fish meal plant; and new modern hydraulic driven trawl winches.
