Turkish shipyard Tersan successfully delivered longliner M-Solhaug to owner Mikal Solhaug AS at the end of February.

Designed by Norwegian company Seacon AS, the vessel has a length overall of 34.07m, length BP of 28m, breadth of 9.5m and depth to main deck of 4.3m.

The vessel has a gross tonnage of 493, net tonnage of 147, a freezing capacity of approximately 290m3 and a product capacity of approximately 25 tons per day. Accommodation is for 12 persons.

The company also has another longliner on order. Due to be delivered mid-2015, this vessel will be built for two owners, Langøy Kyst og Havfiske AS and Leinebris AS, who will merge for this vessel.

The so-far unnamed vessel will be 58m long with a beam of 13.4m. The longliner will be an electric propulsion vessel, with a combination of Siemens Blue Drive system and Yanmar Diesel Engines.

The vessel will also feature a moonpool for efficient fishing.
