Even better value delegate places for 2019 include a visit to a fish drying facility on the final half day of the conference.

A technical visit to Haustak, the Codland facility, will mark the official end of this year’s Fish Waste for Profit conference. Haustak is the largest fish drying company in Iceland. It has two factories in Iceland, in Reykjanes and Egilstaðir. Founded in 1999, the company is owned by Vísir hf. and Thorbjorn hf. Today, about 50 people work for the company, and the product is mostly dried indoors in drying rooms, and in keeping with tradition, part of the production is dried outdoors on the terraces.

Codland, believe it is their responsibility to “make the most of every kilo of catch” by utilising biotechnical solutions to create valuable, new products from underutilised raw materials from the fishing industry.

This is just one of the many networking opportunities available to delegates at Fish Waste for Profit this year and places on this tour are limited so book your place today to secure your place on this must attend event.
