By enlarging the propeller, power costs can be reduced by 30-40% compared to the conventional propeller of 3m radius.

Skipasyn will present this project at DanFish, along with other new projects including the 50.8m trawlers now being built in Ronghcheng, China. Estimated delivery of the first vessel is mid-April 2016 and the second one three months later.

Skipasyn is also working on a 45m longliner concept design, where the company is considering old and new technology with regards to saving energy and minimising pollution, which includes using sails and batteries.
