The new RQ7000M automatic strapping machine from Gordian Strapping will be showcased for the first time in Brussels at SPE.
The RQ-7000M is ideal for moisture-laden environments such as seafood processing due to its permanently lubricated mechanisms, side-seal design, and body parts made of stainless steel and other waterproof parts. The cabinet is fully enclosed to protect the components from saltwater runoff, oil and dust, and the base is reinforced to provide extra protection where moisture exposure is greatest.
The machine features a vastly improved speed of 50 cycles per minute (1.2 seconds per strap) compared to its predecessor, the AQ-7M. Furthermore, the quick heater system ensures that the machine is ready to operate in under 20 seconds. Coil changes are quick and easy thanks to the strap self-loading mechanism, and in the event that the machine is operated without a package in place, the strap forms a loop which is automatically ejected from the sealing unit leaving the machine ready for the next cycle.
