Taiwanese seafood group FCF Co., Ltd, one of the largest players in the global tuna industry, has given a green light to Wise Solutions to provide WiseFish as the ERP system for its affiliated production companies in Papua New Guinea.
“This system is a revolution in terms of technology deployment in the PNG factories. The system provides us real time overview of the operation from end to end, tracking raw materials and finished goods as they are processed in the factories and manages the total operation finances, inventories, product traceability and more,” said Tony Costa, CIO of Bumble Bee Foods, who was instrumental in the selection of WiseFish for the project.
FCF is the parent company of Bumble Bee Seafoods and owns and operates production facilities and entities around the world, that together form one of the top seafood producers and traders globally.
With fifty years of trading and marketing tuna products behind it, FCF has become one of the world’s largest integrated supply chain providers – specialising in tuna, as well as having interests in other fisheries. FCF has more than thirty subsidiaries, fishing bases and shipping agents throughout the world to handle the service needs of its customers. The company is collaborates closely with governments and NGOs to support the environmental sustainability of tuna and other marine stocks around the world.

Despite the challenges presented with the pandemic and the requirement to perform all the project activities remotely, the team has done an outstanding job staying on track to implement the project as outlined with minimum impacts.”
