As of 1 July 2011, Mexican packaging group Envases Universales (subject to customary closing conditions) acquired Glud & Marstrand A/S from AAC Capital Partners.
As member of Envases Universales Group, Glud & Marstrand becomes part of a global packaging group and now has the possibility of offering a broader product assortment.
The Envases Universales Group manufacturers rigid packing solutions in plants across Mexico, Central America and South America. The company is focused on the manufacture of steel cans, aluminium cans and plastic packaging for beverages, food, paint and chemical markets.
The companies say that the merger of decades of experience in the manufacture of metal packaging held by both companies will enhance their ability to support customers’ growth with high quality packaging solutions on a global scale.
Envases Universales intends to continuously develop Glud & Marstrand A/S and there will be no changes in the management and organisation of the company.
