Icelandic company Valka will showcase its latest X-ray guided water jet cutting machine for the first time at SPE in Brussels.

This machine has been designed for trimming and portioning fish fillets, and Valka says that it delivers processors greatly increased throughput and less cut-off compared to manual trimming and portioning.

In most applications the labour-saving should be more than 50% and the payback period relatively short.

The machine was released in October and Valka claims that it has already demonstrated that it is superior to both manual cutting as well as other cutting machines on the market.

Valka will display and demo the machine throughout the exhibition.
