Mørenot Group has appointed Arne Birkeland as CEO, Hans Fredrik Furstrand as CFO and Nils Erik Bjørkedal to a newly created COO role.

Birkeland, who succeeds Knut Berge, was previously CEO in Westcon Group and has extensive experience in global growth, change and efficiency processes. The appointment is effective 1 November.

Hans Fredrik Furstrand is the former CFO of Optimar and is experienced within the industry, in shipping and fisheries, and in the establishment of professional global finance and reporting structures.

Nils Erik Bjørkedal has solid experience in finance, IT, processes and logistics from several companies is expected to strengthen Mørenot’s focus on operational efficiency – within strategy implementation, and mergers and acquisitions.

The changes are part of an ambitious five-year growth plan for the Mørenot Group, to ensure continuity in its international expansion and to secure jobs. Mørenot Group aims to further its product development and be a driving force within ESG (Environment, Social, Governance).

Asbjørn Reinkind has been elected as a Mørenot board member. Reinkind is currently an independent consultant and board member and brings extensive experience from his time as Hydro Seafood CEO and board member of Biomar, Grieg Seafood, Midt Norsk Havbruk and Domstein.
