Scales and onboard packing

Marel will simulate conditions at sea to show the stability of its onboard scales. Among other things, the company will demonstrate its marine packing system, which includes a M2200 marine scale, a label printer and Innova, its production management software. With Innova it is possible to create reports that provide an overview of information such as catch value, packing history, cargo report and e-log report.

One-stop shop

Another reason to visit the Marel stand is to meet with specialists from the company and learn how Marel offers a one-stop shop for all onboard processing needs. The company says it has everything needed for infeed, weighing, trimming, filleting, grading, portioning, packing and freezing. All Marel equipment can be used stand-alone or as part of a fully integrated processing system.

A single source saves the trouble of having to assemble machines from multiple suppliers. It also helps to ensure a safe, reliable and efficient installation that guarantees optimal performance.

Traceability

Marel will also be participating in a traceability line that focuses on following the fish “from source to shelf”. The traceability line will include Marel’s software system Innova, as well as marine scales that will ensure accurate weighing results. This unique system makes it possible to trace fish for everyday consumption from the sea to the kitchen.
