Norwegian Greentech has been contracted to deliver its water treatment solutions to two new live fish carriers that will operate in the aquaculture industry.
The contract, signed with an undisclosed customer, is worth in excess of NOK 20 million.
“We have delivered our water treatment technologies to more than 800 vessels worldwide and more than 30 systems for water treatment onboard live fish carriers, so this is a well-known segment for us. This technology can also be applied to land-based aquaculture, which is why it is encouraging to see increased activity in the maritime industry and within land-based aquaculture,” said Børge Gjelseth, SVP Commercial at Norwegian Greentech.
Norwegian Greentech is a supplier of ballast water treatment systems and other systems for purification of water for use in the aquaculture industry and in the maritime sector.
The company is a subsidiary of HAV Group ASA, which is listed on Euronext Growth in Oslo, Norway.
