Unisystem AB’s marine scales have been delivered as approved scales, according to the European Directive 2009/23/EC, for several years.

Now the marine scales, including the eSea®System software, can be delivered with communication for direct transfer of the catch reports to the E-logbook from E-Catch. The E-logbook from E-Catch is available in several languages and is approved in many countries, including Scotland, Northern Ireland and The Netherlands. The E-logbook has government-set standards and can easily be approved in more countries.
Even traceability can be transferred from the eSea®System through the E-Catch E-logbook. According to European Directives 1224/2009 and 404/2011 all wild caught fish should be traceable and marked.
In Denmark there are already requirements for traceability reporting. Information such as where the fish have been caught, by whom, fish species and weights etc. can be transferred, for example, to SIF. SIF, owned by DFPO, the Danish Fishermen’s Producer Organization, is a tool to help all parts of the traceability chain to meet the European Directives.
At DanFish International the transfer to the E-Catch E-logbook and the traceability system will be demonstrated.
