DSI says that these freezers are recommended – by the company and by the customer –when a better flow and instant freezing is required.
Ocean Prawns’ Technical Director Per Svenningsen says that the customised solution is expected to give a much better flow and faster freezing of the shrimps in boxes.
“We don’t have to wait for any larger freezer to be filled up before freezing the boxes. As we have room for the two Duplex freezers this solutions promises a much better production flow on board”, Per Svenningsen says.
Fewer injuries
DSI also reports that the V16 freezer with automatic bottom unloading has become the most popular freezer for newly built trawlers, for example, in Norway and Russia.
The company says that according to its customers, up to 90% of injuries and long term physical conditions for workers in the freezing production line are caused by handling frozen blocks. The recognition of this undesirable situation has led to an increase in requests for the V16 freezer with automatic bottom unloading – which means fewer injuries and overall better working conditions thanks to the automated system.
