Canning company Hermasa has recently struck a rental deal for its TUNIPACK-300 tuna filler with Ecuadorian processor Asiservy.
The rental contract is with RTS International, a company owned by Hermasa that handles the rental contract of its tuna fillers. Hermasa tells World Fishing that the company is offering clients two options: to either fully purchase the machine direct from Hermasa or to sign a rental contract with RTS which lasts for five years.
RTS has already signed several rental contracts with companies such as Indian Ocean Tuna, Bolton Alimentari and Alliance Ocean Tuna.
Hermasa decided to launch RTS as a way of increasing the number of TUNIPACK-300 machines in the market, which has now reached 116 units all over the world. The company says that the most important point is that clients trust the machine, and several of them have bought additional units to increase their production capacity or to renew existing equipment.
