You get a bigger squeeze with Haarslev!

ICELANDIC company HAARSLEV has delivered its first HAARSLEV Twin Screw Press – the HM80C press – with a screw diameter of 800 mm and six-metres long. It can handle 70 tonnes of cooked fish per hour.

The HM80C press was built for Vinnslustodin Vestmannaeyjum in Iceland, which required a press with a long retention time for better extraction of the oil.

This is achieved by rotating the screws slowly, so this press operates with a throughput of about 35 t/h.

The press can be seen at work on the Vestmanna Islands about half an hour’s flight from the Iceland fair this September.

HAARSLEV says they have also continuing to deliver their big disc driers (500 m2) which they put on the market in 2000 and they are also making driers as small as 40m2 as well. This is apart from its fish cookers and evaporators, and it says that its transport and unloading pumps are a great success around the world.

HAARSLEV was established in 1973 and delivered the first machine to a fish meal plant in 1999.
