In order to rationalise its engines offered to the marine market and to increase its available power range, John Deere proposed two additional engine models in 2008:

• PowerTech 6068SFM75 engine – a 6.8l turbocharged and air-to-sea water aftercooled marine engine, supplying up to 298kW (400hp) at 2800rpm
• PowerTech 6125SFM75 engine – a 12.5l turbocharged and air-to-sea water aftercooled marine engine, supplying up to 455kW (610cv) at 2100rpm, the most powerful engine of the range available today
Two new models will be launched by the end of 2009:
• PowerTech 6068AFM75 engine – a 6.8l engine supplying up to 256kW (343 cv)
• PowerTech 6090SFM75 engine - this new engine has 9l of displacement and offers up to 373kW (500hp). It is a 6-cylinder, electronically controlled, turbocharged and air-to-sea water aftercooled marine engine and will be on display at WFE.
John Deere will also have three other diesel engines on display at the show: the PowerTech 4045DFM70, 6068SFM50 and 6125AFM75 engines. All of these engines meet EPA Tier 2 and EU emissions requirements and are MARPOL Annex VI compliant.
