Zamakona Shipyard of Santurce has launched the “Guria” - an ultimate generation tuna- freezer vessel for Basque fishing company Nicra 7.
The 81.54m Guria – which means ‘Ours’ in Euskera - is equipped with a Wartsila 4000kw main engine, which can deliver a top speed of 16 knots.
This modern tuna vessel has a storage capacity of 1708m3 in its holds and is equipped with accommodation for a crew of 28.
Guria will operate in the Atlantic with three other Nicra 7 tuna vessels, Kurtzio, Matxikorta and Albacora.
