The company says that this model seems to have a very promising future, according to the interest shown by customers. It combines the advantages of ammonia as a refrigerant and those of compact configuration, where the condensing unit is delivered connected to the freezer.

In addition, during the second semester of 2015, Tucal developed a new plate design with a lower loading of refrigerant. This amount was already very low in the case of Tucal freezers, but thanks to this system it is possible to reduce it by approximately half, and still keep the efficiency in the freezing process.

This design, which was initially developed linked to ammonia compact plate freezers, is also applicable to other flooded systems, and the company is now offering it as an option.

Tucal has just delivered one of these ammonia compact plate freezers to a French fish processor - with an estimated capacity of 1,500kg per two hours, it only requires around 65kg of NH3.

Last year was a busy one for Tucal, with supplies of plate freezers for customers in Spain, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Lithuania, Serbia, Peru and Poland.
