Tucal will be ending 2014 with its factory working at full capacity to fulfil orders before Christmas.

Compact plate freezer installed in Mauritius

Compact plate freezer installed in Mauritius

Two compact horizontal plate freezers will be sent to a Namibian fish processor. The novelty of this order is that each freezer is connected to an ammonia flooded system, without refrigerant pump, totally compact and with the same dimensions as the standard compact plate freezers (usually compact plate freezers have a Freon system with injection by means of thermostatic expansion valves). The equipment also has an open-flash economizer of the highest efficiency, and condensation is done by water. The amount of ammonia with this system is reduced to a minimum.

The company will also deliver a compact horizontal plate freezer with the required freezing trays and automatic ejector, and two vertical plate freezers with a common condensing unit to a Polish fishing company.

Tucal will also install a containerised 10mt/day ice factory with all the equipment to produce flake and block ice (with an ice compactor). This containerised factory also includes an office and a power generator. It will be placed over another 40ft container, also supplied by Tucal, transformed for storage. The whole installation will be installed in Eastern Africa to supply the local people with ice.

A smaller ice factory - 4mt/day - will also be sent to Cuba, and two horizontal plate freezers will also be delivered to a French shipowner.

The company also supplied diverse equipment for fish processing in Mauritius, Mexico and Spain, mainly plate freezers and ice machines, throughout 2014.
