So far this year Spanish refrigeration company Tucal has been very active in North Africa, mainly in Morocco and Mauritania.

Aside from the company’s regular supply of plate freezers, Tucal has completed a turnkey refrigeration installation (with both horizontal and blast freezers) and has also refurbished another customer’s installation.

The company tells WF&A that it expects to keep busy in North Africa, having recently received a Letter of Intent to start an ammonia turnkey refrigeration project soon, for the freezing of 100 tons of fish per day.

In other regions Tucal is currently involved in the manufacturing of a series of horizontal plate freezers with corresponding freezing trays and ejectors for a Chilean cattlefish producer, and compact units are also being built for a Polish codfish processor.
