An order placed by a UK partnership brings the orderbook of pelagic vessels to be delivered by Ksrstensens Skibsværft in the new few years to ten.

The latest order is for a 75 metre pelagic trawler for a partnership between the Northbay and Wiseman fishing companies, with a June 2022 delivery date.
The partnership brings together Interfish subsidiary Northbay Fishing Company, and the Wiseman Fishing Company, headed by Scottish Pelagic Fishermen’s Association (SPFA) chairman Alex Wiseman. His son Adam skippers the partnership’s present vessel, the 64 metre Resolute, soon to be renamed Artemis, and he will take over the new vessel when it is delivered.
The new Artemis will have a 75 metre overall length and a 15.60 metre moulded breadth.
Many of the main suppliers have already been selected, including Wärtsilä, who will provide the full energy and propulsion package with a 6100kW Wärtsilä 10V31 main engine and auxiliaries. Also among the suppliers are Karmøy supplying the deck equipment, cranes from Macgregor and a Johnson Controls RSW plant.
According to the yard, the design, specification and arrangements of Artemis are the result of an extensive and close co-operation between owners and yard, with details tailored to suit the owners’ exact specifications.
