Tersan Shipyard has successfully delivered stern freezer trawler, Svend C, to Sikuaq Trawl AS.
Since 2013, nine factory stern trawler vessels were delivered by Tersan Shipyard among thirteen complicated various types of fishing vessels. Among this, there are three more factory freezer stern trawlers under construction.
Svend C was built to Det Norske Veritas Classification Rules and Regulations for fishing vessels and meet the requirements of the Denmark/Greenand authorities. It is 82,6 m long, 17 m wide and designed to accommodate for 32 persons. It is completely insulated for the harsh working environment.
The main processing equipment in the enclosed factory area consists of graders for shrimps and mackerel, transport systems, weighing system, packing system etc. The auto freeze and auto palletizing system’s capacity is 180 tonnes per day.
It is designed with the intention of the process deck layout and the selection of equipment for transport and handling is to obtain a system with the largest amount of automation, assisting the employees working in the processing area.
