At WFE, CeDePesca (Center Development and Sustainable Fisheries) will share some methodologies and tools such as Fishsource, a space created by partner SFP (Sustainable Fisheries Partnership), to provide reliable information on the state and tendencies of fisheries from South America and the world.
CeDePesca says that this will enable companies to award those who fulfill the norms and work for sustainability, and in turn, reward your own company with the best reputation.
CeDePesca, in association with the global organisation Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, works in order to offer solutions to balance the equation: Sustainable Fisheries = Lasting Businesses.
This balance is obtained by working together with the complete chain of value, from producer to consumer, through the creation of networks that take care of investigation, news diffusion, and by encouraging dialogue among fishermen, companies, researchers and authorities, with the aim of obtaining improvements in fisheries management.
