Speakers for the IFFO Annual Conference will include Ray Hilborn, professor in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at University of Washington.

Delegates will also hear from Stefania Vannuccini, senior fishery officer for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), George Chamberlain, president of GAA and John Connelly, president of the National Fisheries Institute USA.

Also speaking at the conference will be Christian Martin, global category manager of aquaculture at DSM, Andy Bing, sales director at Loch Duart and Cargill’s vice president of market development, Willie Loh, alongside Lorin DeBonte, the organisation’s assistant vice president of R&D.
Market trends
Presentations will focus on issues including the latest market trends, nutrition benefits of animal and aquatic feeds and the use of by-products.
Mr Hilborn will present on the latest developments in managing small pelagic fisheries, Ms Vannuccini will cover the latest trends in the global aquaculture supply, while Mr Chamberlain will report on the role of marine ingredients in feed.
Mr Martin will present on EPA+DHA rich algal oil, while Mr Loh and Mr DeBonte will give insights into the novel sources of Omega-3 and the commercial reality.
Nearly 200 delegates from 26 countries are registered to attend the conference at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC, US from 23-25th October.
