Sonavision, the manufacturers of RoxAnn announce that the new RoxAnn GD, successor to the RoxAnn Seabed Classification System will be launched by Sonavision’s UK Distributor at the UK Fishing Show in Glasgow 19 th –21st May. According to the company, the RoxAnn GD is not only technically superior but is more adaptable, is easier to use and less expensive.
Improvements include: • The RoxAnn GD can be interfaced to any sounder at any depth, with frequency selection by software. • The RoxAnn GD does not require the transmit pulse to be stable, so the user can adjust the range and power of the sounder, with the RoxAnn adjusting its echo processing with each change to keep results consistent. • The RoxAnn calibration is by software – no more “red buttons” or complicated procedures. • The RoxAnn GD is not supplied with a computer –it is a computer. The computer uses the most up-to-date industrial PC technology, with, internet and ethernet connections and a touchscreen display – no more mouse, trackerballs or keyboards to get in the way!
• Plotter package RoxMap 3D comes as standard with a real-time 3D display, but you can choose your own plotter alongside as they will run on the PC. • The RoxAnn GD has a full echosounder display which can be simultaneously displayed with the plotter and 3D screens. • It is less expensive with a Retail Price reduced by half.
Sonavision expect to announce more International Distribution Agreements over the next 6 months.
