Crytec, has announced that in Q1 2007 it will commence marketing its newest product – the CR001.
CR001 is actually half the size of the current smallest dimension model, CR004, and is compatible for installations in small fishing boats with limited generator capacity and other applications requiring a small system foot print.
The release of the CR-001 culminates intensive R&D efforts in producing a system that is small in size yet highly productive. The CR-001 produces Bubble Slurry™ Ice (BSI) – a mixture of fast cooling fine ice crystals, liquid and air bubbles which is pumpable without clogging. The CR-001 is intended to operate with any kind of liquid that has a freezing point of less than -1.8ºC.
Dr Boris Menin, Crytec’s CTO and part owner, says “CR-001 is the most space efficient and production proficient liquid ice solution usable for a wide range of applications”. The CR-001 will be marketed through Cytec’s global distribution network.
According to the company, Crytec is capable of providing fully integrated, standard and customised solutions for a great variety of chilling and cooling needs, as well as for advanced applications in energy storage.
